Our Studio Classes

Our general classes are designed to be a friendly interesting introduction to how geometric art is made. We show how the designs of the Alhambra were created then draw a pattern using these techniques. The class gives you a deeper understanding of the art and artisans of the Alhambra and are a wonderful way to enjoy your holiday. You will have a fantastic time and come away with a unique souvenir.

We also offer longer courses, where we dive deeper into the world of pattern.

What do we do?

Taking one design from the Alhambra we show the simple geometric principles underlying its’ structure. Students create their own design using a pencil and compass and add colour with either water colour or gouache painting techniques to bring it alive.

By the end of the lesson you will have a beautiful design of your own to take home and a deeper understanding of how the Alhambra was made. It’s a wonderful way to add to your Alhambra experience.
